The Roost restaurant, long known as Finch's Brasserie, will close down March 30 after 13 years.

Owners of The Roost announced the closure Thursday on Facebook.

"We have kept the home fire burning at Finch’s Brasserie and the Roost for more than 12 years, and we are thrilled to have served local food, beer & wine, and garden-to-glass cocktails to the Bloomington community," the post said. "Our home, just steps away from the historic Sample Gates, has hosted many happy occasions for our guests."

Finch's Brasserie rebranded and reopened last March as The Roost. The new concept aimed to offer more dishes at a better price point.

The announcement says they've reached an agreement for "another Bloomington favorite" to make use of the famous stone oven.

The owners plan to open a new business on the courthouse square. Night & Day will serve wine and coffee and is expected to open this summer.
