3:45 P.M. UPDATE:
Severe thunderstorms rolled through south central Indiana today triggering many severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings. Storm reports include 1 inch hail and funnel cloud sightings in Dubois Co., possible tornado damage in Heltonville, and .7 inch hail in Jonesville.
Jackson Co. law enforcement officials are looking into possible tornado damage 4 miles north of Brownstown.

One inch hail was also reported in Brownstown. Trees and telephone lines are down in Huntingburg in Dubois Co. A trained spotter estimates 60 MPH winds in Rockville in Parke Co. knocked down telephone poles.

NOON UPDATE:
Fast moving storms will be capable of producing tornadoes, damaging winds and isolated large hail this afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 5:00 p.m. for most of the WFIU/WTIU broadcast area.
Forecasters say a broken band of supercells is spreading rapidly northeast affecting western Kentucky, southern Indiana and western Ohio.
