Food Truck Fridays Return to Downtown Bloomington

The preview event will run 5 to 9 p.m.

Food Truck Friday is kicking off the season this week with a preview event at a new location, Dimension Mill.

The new location is in Bloomington’s Trades District next to City Hall.

Organizer Jordan Davis says that the permanent spot for the event is right next to this Friday’s location, but it’s still under construction.

“So, super walkable for everybody downtown," Davis says. "Lot of parking right around there, so it’ll be really accessible for locals but we also think it’ll be accessible for students and people that live in that area.”

The new road that will host Food Truck Fridays is called Maker Way. It will run east-west between 10 th and 11 th streets.

Davis says that they’re excited to bring back a community favorite.

"We’ll take a few weeks off and see if there’s anything we can do to improve everything while they finish working on Maker Way," Davis says. "And once we get rolling, we won’t stop until the end of October."

Food Truck Fridays officially begins the summer season in May.
