A central Indiana man wants county officials to pay the legal bills opponents of a proposed landfill incurred in their decades-long battle against the project.
The Mallard Lake landfill was proposed in 1978 for a 13-acre site near Anderson.
Local residents formed a group to fight the plans and eventually prevailed. One member of that group is now pressing for Madison County to pay its remaining $13,000 in legal bills.
