The $17 million Valley Tower is set to open following a year of work.
The $17 million Valley Tower is set to open following a year of work.

French Lick Resort’s two newest additions are set to open next Friday after a year of construction. The $17 million addition includes 71 new guest rooms, a 100-foot bar, and two large meeting rooms.

The Valley Tower offers new guest rooms with connecting room options. The new rooms are also located next to the casino and events center.

Chuck Franz is vice president of the Cook Group – the parent company of French Lick Resort. He says the new additions will be valuable in serving larger groups that wish to stay at the hotel.

“Once we get people here, you can see the awe and amazement in their faces," Franz says. "You can tell people who haven’t been here before.”

The Valley Bar will be the only 21-and-over eating establishment at the resort and includes a menu featuring light fare food options as well as a selection of nearly 20 regional craft beers, domestic brews, cocktails and wines.

The official ribbon cutting ceremony is set for Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Valley Tower.
