Sunday, March 15 Update: State Reports 19 Positive COVID-19 Cases

The Indiana State Department of Health released new COVID-19 Sunday morning. There are 19 confirmed cases, up from 15 on Saturday.

The ISDH reports it has tested 121 people for the virus.

State Health Commissioner Kris Box said Friday that  more than 60,000 Hoosiers likely have the virus.

There are still no confirmed cases in Monroe County.

On Friday an IU Health official told WFIU/WTIU News there is no coronavirus testing being done by anyone but the ISDH.

Chief Medical Officer for IU Health South Central Region Dr. Dan Handel says no tests are currently available at IU Health facilities. He says testing for coronavirus is only available at the state level.
