Police are investigating after vandals spray painted Indiana University's sample gates over the weekend. They believe the same people are also responsible for vandalizing other nearby properties.
IU police say someone sprayed black paint on the university's Sample Gates early Saturday morning , as well as a nearby city of Bloomington sign and a garage just south of campus.
"The vandalism at the Sample Gates had the initials 'DP' and the word 'Ram'," says Capt. Andy Stephenson. "Right now we haven't deciphered any meaning as of yet."
Crews worked to remove the paint over the weekend, but the messages were still faintly visible Monday.
Police are still looking for the people responsible. Anyone with information can call the IU Police Department at 812-855-4111.
