Same-sex couples in Indiana can't file applications for marriage licenses through the state government's website, even though a federal judge ruled to strike down Indiana's ban on same-sex marriages.
The E-file page only allows one male and one female applicant to enter into the form.
According to The Indiana Law Blog, multiple county clerks used the e-filing system as a reason not to grant the licenses to same-sex couples.
Clerks in multiple counties across the state have refused to issue licenses to same-sex couples, including Bartholomew county, where a protest was held on Thursday.
State Attorney General Greg Zoeller filed an emergency appeal against the judge's ruling and has requested a stay on the order.
