The state of Indiana has agreed to pay the full $5 million to the State Fair stage collapse victims who filed a class action law suit. However, those who suffered most may not be getting as much as they need or deserve.
Indiana law caps what the state has to pay out. It only provides up to $700,000 per person. That amount is expected to grow slowly depending on how many people actually file for claims.
