Bloomington Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in a parking lot on South Walnut Springs Drive Wednesday night.

Officers were called to the 3200 block of South Walnut Springs Drive around 11:25 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a man who was shot and lying unresponsive in a pool of blood.

When police arrived, they found 28-year-old Thomas M. Pleasant, Jr., with a gunshot wound to the neck and began CPR.

Pleasant was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital, where he was declared dead shortly after midnight.
