Regis Philbin To Be Laid To Rest At University Of Notre Dame

Legendary television host Regis Philbin will be laid to rest in Indiana at his alma mater, the University of Notre Dame.

A university spokesperson confirmed Monday that funeral services for Philbin will be at the university, and Philbin will be buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery on Notre Dame’s campus.

Per the family’s wishes, the ceremony will be private, and there will be no media on campus for the services. No more details about the service are available.

Philbin died of natural causes at the age of 88 Friday night, his family told NPR.

The longtime host of talk shows and the game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1953 and was a big supporter of the university’s sports teams and performing arts programs.
