Indiana’s seven-day all-test positivity rate jumped Wednesday as federal and state officials warn of a possible fourth wave of COVID-19.
Wednesday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) shows a positivity rate of 3.9%, up from 3.7% the day before.
IDOH reported 1,127 new COVID-19 cases and just one confirmed death Wednesday, bringing the state totals to 686,497 cases and 12,633 confirmed deaths.

Currently, there are 657 Hoosiers hospitalized with the virus.
In Monroe County, officials reported 18 new cases and no new deaths Monday. The county has been moved to a yellow advisory level by the state because the number of weekly cases per 100,000 residents has increased to 128.
Monroe County’s totals are now 10,909 cases and 166 deaths. The county’s positivity rate remains at 0.9% for the second day in a row, and area hospitalizations are at 29.
