Indiana's 7-Day Positivity Rate Surpasses 5%

Indiana’s seven-day all-test positivity rate now exceeds 5%. The latest data reported Friday on the state’s COVID dashboard shows a positivity rate of 5.1%.

The State Department of Health also reported 1,327 new positive cases and 14 additional deaths.

That brings statewide totals to 704,632 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic and 12,803 deaths.

Monroe County recorded 33 new cases and no new deaths. The number of confirmed cases in the county is now 11,417 and the death toll stands at 166. The county’s positivity rate is 1.3%.

Meanwhile, the state is reporting another 29,754 Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.  The total number of Hoosiers who are now considered fully vaccinated is more than 1.5 million.
