Indiana Reports 525 New COVID-19 Cases, 12 Deaths Tuesday

Health officials in Indiana reported 525 new COVID-19 cases and 12 new deaths Tuesday.

The Indiana Department of Health’s latest numbers showed 13,149 total confirmed deaths and 741,053 positive cases since the pandemic began.

The seven-day positivity rate is 4.8% Tuesday, and 797 Hoosiers are hospitalized with the virus.

The state has also administered more than 5 million vaccine doses, and more than 2.4 million Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.

In Monroe County, health officials reported seven new positive cases and no additional deaths. County officials have reported 12,025 cases and 172 deaths since the pandemic began.

Monroe County's seven-day positivity rate is 3.6%, and 28 people are hospitalized with the virus in Monroe County-area hospitals.

The county has conducted 550,673 tests for the virus.
