Airport Volume Increasing, Indy 500 Diversifying | Indiana Newsdesk

With COVID-19 restrictions being lifted across the country, people are again taking to the skies for business and leisure. Ahead, how airports and airlines are handling the increase in volume.

Having a woman driving in this weekend’s Indianapolis 500 isn’t unusual, but the fact that her car’s owner and a majority of her pit crew are women is. It’s part of new track owner Roger Penske’s initiative to diversify IndyCar racing.

And truckers are asking the state to increase the number of parking spots available at rest stops, which are essential layovers for long-haul truck drivers.
