Indiana Reports 418 New COVID-19 Cases, 20 Deaths Thursday

Health officials in Indiana reported 418 new COVID-19 cases and 20 new deaths Thursday.

The Indiana Department of Health’s latest numbers showed 13,239 total confirmed deaths and 745,690 positive cases since the pandemic began.

The seven-day positivity rate is 4.5% Thursday, down from 4.4% Wednesday, and 666 Hoosiers are hospitalized with the virus.

The state has also administered more than 5.2 million vaccine doses, and more than 2.5 million Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.

In Monroe County, health officials reported eight new positive cases and one additional death. County officials have reported 12,086 cases and 174 deaths since the pandemic began.

Monroe County's seven-day positivity rate is 2.9% Thursday, up from 2.5% Wednesday, and 20 people are hospitalized with the virus in Monroe County-area hospitals.

The county has conducted 553,367 tests for the virus.
