The Indiana Department of Health says 2,558,847 Hoosiers are fully vaccinated, out of 6.7 million residents statewide.

“If we don’t get a large majority of our residents vaccinated, we can very likely risk another outbreak in the fall, as we did last fall,” said IU Health South Central Region President Brian Shockney.

IU Southcentral has vaccinated 89,616 people since the pandemic began.

Vaccinations will continue at Assembly Hall through the summer.  IU Health says it is working with its providers to ensure doctors’ offices and urgent care centers can administer the vaccine.

The statewide positivity rate dropped from 4.5% Thursday to 4.2% Friday.
