Kehr said the case against Posso is still pending.

In May of 2019, deputies discovered the couple and their son were staying at the Bloomington Economy Inn on State Road 37 south. They found restraints and a surveillance camera inside the hotel room.

At the time, Monroe County Coroner Joani Shields said there was evidence the child was severely malnourished and emaciated.
