Indiana Reports 314 New COVID-19 Cases, 4 Deaths Friday

Health officials in Indiana reported 314 new COVID-19 cases and four new deaths Friday.

The Indiana Department of Health’s latest numbers showed 13,295 total confirmed deaths and 748,654 positive cases since the pandemic began.

The seven-day positivity rate is 3% Friday, down from 3.2% Thursday, and 553 Hoosiers are hospitalized with the virus.

The state has also administered more than 5.3 million vaccine doses, and more than 2.6 million Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.

In Monroe County, health officials reported three new positive cases and no additional deaths. County officials have reported 12,147 cases and 174 deaths since the pandemic began.

Monroe County's seven-day positivity rate is 2.5% Friday, down from 2.7% Thursday, and 19 people are hospitalized with the virus in Monroe County-area hospitals.

The county has conducted 556,152 tests for the virus.

IDOH announced Friday it will no longer update the statewide COVID-19 case or vaccine dashboard on Sundays.
