Two-time Olympic gold medalist and IU graduate Lilly King will try to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics Tuesday night in the 100-meter breaststroke.
King had the fastest time in the semifinals Monday at the U.S. Olympic swimming trials in Omaha, Nebraska. Her Bloomington training partner, Annie Lazor, had the second-fastest time in the same event.

Both competitors will race against one another Tuesday in the finals.
In the 2016 Rio Olympics, King took home the gold medal in 100-meter breaststroke, as well as the 4x100-meter medley.
She will also try to qualify for the 200-meter breaststroke later in the week.
But King and Lazor are not the only Olympic hopefuls with Indiana ties. So, far three IU synchronized divers have already punched their ticket.
Jessica Parratto, Andrew Capobianco, and Mike Hixon will head to Tokyo this summer.
