A Bloomington man swept away in his car by floodwaters Friday night was found dead Sunday morning.
Bloomington police said 31-year-old Colten Booe was last seen in his vehicle as he drove into rapidly-moving floodwaters near the intersection of S. College Avenue and W. Dodds Street.
A 29-year-old friend in the passenger seat was able to escape through the open side car window. The friend said he was dragged under water for several seconds but eventually was able to grab a tree branch and pull himself from the flood waters.

Captain Ryan Pedigo in a news release said officers found the car on its side in floodwaters in Switchyard Park Sayurday morning, but it was unoccupied.
A group of searchers located a body in a pile of debris about 50 yards south of Country Club Drive near Clear Creek Sunday morning.
Monroe County Coroner Joani Shields positively identified the body as Booe.
An autopsy is scheduled Monday to determine the cause of Booe’s death.
