State Reports 6 New COVID Deaths, 200+ New Cases

Health officials in Indiana reported 213 new COVID-19 cases and six new deaths Wednesday.

The Indiana Department of Health’s latest numbers showed 13,392 total confirmed deaths and 752,108 positive cases since the pandemic began.

The seven-day positivity rate is 2.3% Wednesday and 447 Hoosiers are hospitalized with the virus.

The state has also administered more than 5.5 million vaccine doses, and more than 2.7 million Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.

In Monroe County, health officials reported five new positive cases and no additional deaths. County officials have reported 12,226 cases and 176 deaths since the pandemic began.

Monroe County's seven-day positivity rate is 2.5% Wednesday and 23 people are hospitalized with the virus in Monroe County-area hospitals.
