Your Fourth of July cookout might be cheaper this year.
The Indiana Farm Bureau says common cookout items cost less in Indiana than in much of the country.
While Hoosiers can expect to pay around 20 percent more for ground beef, the cost of ice cream, cheese, and pork are markedly cheaper here.
Supply chain challenges have affected a number of grocery items but many of those challenges have been remedied recently.
Farm Bureau estimates the average cost per person of a modest cookout should be just under $6.
