Indiana Reports 153 New COVID-19 Cases, 6 Deaths Tuesday

Health officials in Indiana reported 153 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths Tuesday.

The Indiana Department of Health’s latest numbers showed 13,459 total confirmed deaths and 755,700 positive cases since the pandemic began.

There have been 224 confirmed cases of the Delta variant reported in Indiana.

The seven-day positivity rate is 2.5% Friday and 390 Hoosiers are hospitalized with the virus.

The state has also administered more than 5.6 million vaccine doses, and more than 2.8 million Hoosiers are fully vaccinated.

In Monroe County, health officials reported 3 new positive cases and no additional deaths. County officials have reported 12,290 cases and 177 deaths since the pandemic began.

Monroe County's seven-day positivity rate is 2.3% Friday and 17 people are hospitalized with the virus in Monroe County-area hospitals.

More than 55% Monroe County's eligible population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
