Indiana University expects a record-breaking class of incoming students at its Bloomington campus this fall.
IU Bloomington’s Vice Provost for Enrollment Management David Johnson said the campus has received more than 46,000 applications, its most ever and a 5 percent increase over last year.
That includes a record freshman class of about 9,300 students– a 17 percent increase from fall 2020 and a 12 percent increase from the previous record-setting year of 2019.
IU said a record 1,600 underrepresented students are enrolled in the 2021 freshman class.
