City Of Bloomington Reports First Positive Employee COVID-19 Case In Three Weeks

The City of Bloomington reported its first positive COVID-19 test for an employee in three weeks.

The person works in the parks and recreation department and received a positive test Wednesday.

The city’s announcement says no members of the public were placed at risk of exposure to the virus by the employee; coworkers who are considered close contacts have been notified.

Since the start of the pandemic, 88 city workers have tested positive.

Two positive tests were reported in June, and one has been reported in July.
