The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce is looking for a new president.  Current CEO and President  Erin Predmore, will be leaving in the coming months.

Predmore said her three years in charge has shown her how hard small local businesses work.

“What they want to do is just do a good job and run their business," she said. "And the stresses from all the other parts of that are constant. So, our small business owners are some of the hardest working, bravest, smartest, most flexible people I know.”

She said she is most proud of the chamber’s work acting as a community information resource during the pandemic, and advocating for small businesses.

Predmore said the city still has a lot of work to do to solve its housing issues, and the chamber will continue to be part of those conversations.

“The chamber’s going to be there saying ‘we need variety of housing for all sorts of people so we can let everyone be part of our community and be able to afford to live here.”

Predmore says she’ll remain on staff in the next few months to help through the transition
