State health officials will convene Friday for a press briefing to talk about COVID-19 in Indiana and health restricitions.
On Thursday, Gov. Eric Holcomb extended the state's public health emergency for another month, and announced he would not reimpose any COVID-19 health restrictions.
The decision comes as the delta variant surges in Indiana. According to the state's COVID-19 Dashboard, the delta variant makes up nearly 92 percent of of COVID samples in Indiana.

This week, the Centers For Disease Control reversed its previous masking recommendations, and said even vaccinated individuals should wear masks indoors if they are in areas where case rates are high.
