Bloomington reports 2 new COVID cases among employees

The City of Bloomington reported two new COVID-19 cases among employees Thursday.

Since its last update, employees at the Bloomington Police Department and City Hall tested positive.

None of the employees reported close contacts and were asymptomatic before receiving positive test results.

According to the city, 308 employees have tested positive since the pandemic began.

City utilities are continuing its weekly COVID-19 wastewater sampling program. Since May 6, samples have increased from 3800 to 4100 gene copies/100mL at the Dillman plant and decreased from 9200 to 240 gene copies/100mL at the Blucher Poole plant.
