The City of Bloomington reported ten COVID-19 cases among its employees this week.
The employees come from the following units:
- Bloomington Transit - one employee
- Parks and Recreation - five employees
- City Hall - one employee
- Bloomington Police Department - one employee
The city reported that one of the Parks employees who tested positive this week exposed members of the public while working. The city said those contacts have been notified. None of the other workers had close contact with a member of the public.
Since the start of the pandemic, 336 Bloomington employees have tested positive for COVID. According to the City, COVID was listed among the causes of death for one City employee.

Meanwhile, the City of Bloomington is continuing its wastewater sampling program. Results are used to indicate COVID spread. In a press release, the City said, " As of June 13, the most recent date for which data is available, sample concentrations were 640 gene copies/100mL at the Dillman plant and 220 gene copies/100mL at the Blucher Poole plant."
