Monroe County counted 180 new COVID-19 cases between June 28-July 4, according to the state and CDC dashboards.
The county’s seven-day average of cases is 31, just three over the prior week’s average. The CDC rates Monroe County at medium-level risk and urged people in the county to get tested if they’re experiencing symptoms.
Case counts shot up in May after a springtime dip but have remained steady since.
The state’s seven-day average of daily cases stands at 1,418. The state reported 13 new deaths, bringing the total to 22,906 since the start of the pandemic.
Statewide, 526 people are hospitalized with COVID, including 63 in intensive care units.
