Bloomington reports 14 new employee COVID-19 cases

The City of Bloomington is reporting 14 COVID-19 cases among its employees this week.

The employees come from the following units:

  • City Hall - four employees
  • Bloomington Housing Authority - three employees
  • Department of Public Works - two employees
  • City of Bloomington Utilities - two employees
  • Parks and Recreation - one employee
  • Bloomington Transit - one employee
  • Bloomington Fire Department - one employee

One parks and recreation, one public works, and one utilities department employee exposed close contacts, who have since been notified.

Since the start of the pandemic, Bloomington employees have reported 408 positive COVID-19 tests. COVID is listed among the causes of death for one city employee.
