Isak Asare, Matt Flaherty and Andy Ruff will be the Democratic nominees for at-large city council seats after winning Tuesday’s primary over four other candidates.

Asare was the leading vote-getter of the seven candidates with 4,194 votes. Ruff had 3,961 votes and Flaherty 3,726. Lois Sabo-Skelton was fourth with 2,852.

Flaherty is the only at-large representative who won his race. Fellow incumbent Steve Volan did not.

Steve Volan was redistricted out of a safe district and would have had to run against Dave Rollo. He decided instead to run for an at-large seat.

Andy Ruff served on city council before and lost in 2019.
