Million-dollar Powerball ticket purchased in Bloomington

Two tickets for the Aug. 5 Powerball drawing, worth $50,000 and $1 million, were purchased in Indiana.

The $1 million winning ticket was purchased at the Circle S at 4200 W. State Road 46 in Bloomington, and the $50,000 ticket at the Casey’s at 411 State Road 144 in Mooresville. There were two other $1 million winners in Illinois and New York.

The winning numbers were 18, 42, 44, 62, 65, with a Powerball of 23. The odds of winning the $1 million pick 5 prize are more than one in 11 million.

Players can check tickets with the Hoosier Lottery Mobile App. The ticket holders should contact Hoosier Lottery customer service at 1-800-955-6886. Additional resources can be found in the Hoosier Lottery’s Winner’s Guide.

The last $1 million Powerball win in Indiana was the July 19 drawing with a ticket purchased in Carmel.

Indiana had the first Powerball jackpot winner in 1992 and leads the nation with 39 jackpot wins, according to the Hoosier Lottery.
