A Bloomington woman will serve a two-year house arrest following a Jan. 12, 2022, shooting in the Crestmont neighborhood.

Dalia Meyers, 28, was sentenced after pleading guilty to criminal recklessness. A criminal mischief charge was dropped. Officers accused Meyers of firing a gun toward a building in the neighborhood.

She was also fined $189 and must replace a Bloomington Police Department camera she destroyed in the interview room.

A note in Meyers’ court file says the gun, as well as its bullets and accessories, will be destroyed.

On the night of the shooting, in the same neighborhood, officers responded to a call about shots fired and found a woman, later identified as Amelia Callahan, with a gunshot wound in her head. She was in the rear seat of a 2015 Jeep Cherokee with a shattered passenger-side window, police said. No one else was injured.

Callahan survived traumatic brain injury.
