An organization devoted to combating antisemitism urged Indiana University to investigate what it calls a “disturbing act of targeted harassment” towards Jewish students.

Stop Antisemitism shared a photo on social media Wednesday showing Palestinian flags and the word “divest” painted in the snow near the Chabad House, a Jewish student life center.

IU Police sent the following statement to WFIU/WTIU News Friday afternoon: "On January 14, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers responded to suspicious activity reports. Four individuals were painting on the snow at various locations. No permanent vandalism was noted."

As of Friday morning, the paint was no longer visible.

Chabad House did not respond when contacted for comment. It’s unclear if IUPD is investigating the incident.
