Columbus Mayor Mary Ferdon will present her second State of the City Address Wednesday night at the Nexus Park Fieldhouse.
The indoor sports field debuted about a year ago featuring playing areas for softball and soccer with multiple basketball and volleyball courts.
Ferdon said her address is open to the public and she’s hoping people will come see how the fieldhouse is being used.
“We'll give updates on the housing work that we've done over the past year, the homeless work transportation study, talking a little bit about the 2030 downtown study, updating people on the riverfront, and then our theme is gratitude,” Ferdon said.
She said she wants to recognize the volunteers who make Columbus a great place to live – including those who serve on city boards and commissions.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the address beginning at 6 p.m. Ferdon says the speech will be livestreamed.
