The Indiana State Police arrested a man from Harrison County on Tuesday, alleging he posted threats against billionaire Elon Musk’s life.

Texas law enforcement provided the tip regarding an account on X (formerly Twitter), which they said may belong to 28-year-old David Cherry.

Authorities say Cherry threatened Musk’s life on the account earlier this month. ISP located and arrested Cherry in Clarksville, Indiana.

ISP searched Cherry’s home in Palmyra, Indiana, where detectives confiscated an AR-15-style rifle, a handgun, ammunition and a ballistic vest.

Cherry is being held without bond in the Harrison County Jail under a Level 5 Felony intimidation charge.
