Police investigating Sullivan inmate death

Indiana State Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Sullivan County Jail.

The Sullivan County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Brandon Houser, 37, from Sullivan.

Jail officers found Houser unresponsive in his cell on June 5.

An autopsy Saturday indicated that his injuries were self-inflicted. Investigators do not suspect foul play.

According to court records, Houser was awaiting trial on a felony charge of resisting law enforcement while using a vehicle. The case has been open since March 28.
