A New Release Celebration!

Busman’s Holiday and Ross Gay are back at it again! Busman’s Holiday, local brother duo bring their work of good humor and thoughtful lyrics to the Indiana theater; from busking to the Buskirk. The band will be in full regalia with horns and percussion, celebrating the release of their fourth record, Table Talk, a live-to-tape studio album. Ross Gay, New York Times bestselling local poet, will read his beautiful works to celebrate 10 years since the release of his nationally recognized book, Catalog Of Unabashed Gratitude. Both of them will celebrate each other and may even do something special together. You’ll have to be there to find out!

Ross Gay is the author of four books of poetry: Against Which; Bringing the Shovel Down; Be Holding, winner of the PEN American Literary Jean Stein Award; and Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, winner of the 2015 National Book Critics Circle Award and the 2016 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award. In addition to his poetry, Ross has released three collections of essays—The Book of Delights was released in 2019 and was a New York Times bestseller; Inciting Joy was released in 2022, and his newest collection, The Book of (More) Delights was released in September of 2023.

Busman’s Holiday is a band of brothers for over 20 years. The Rogers brothers have been singing together longer than either of them can remember, and they’ve been singing together as a band for nearly half their lives. With Lewis usually but not always playing guitar and Addison usually but always playing drums, Busman’s Holiday has amassed an avid fanbase in the Midwest and beyond, as listeners relate to their heart-on-sleeve lyrics and bright harmonies. On their new record, Table Talk, with the band recording live-to-tape in the studio, Lewis Rogers and Addison Rogers present their fourth album directly and precisely. It’s an album meant to be as bare bones as the band has made, maybe even more so than their first few recordings when they were still in high school. They’re presenting grooves and truths as bold as the cosmos, as swift as the passing of time, and as direct as the sun reaching your skin.
