Documentary Film Screening: 2000 Meters to Andriivka (2025, dir. Mstyslav Chernov)

The IU Ukrainian Studies Organization presents "2000 Meters to Andriivka," a 2025 documentary by Mstyslav Chernov. The film is a stunning portrayal of trench warfare from the Oscar®-winning team behind "20 Days in Mariupol." A FRONTLINE and Associated Press collaboration, this documentary reveals combat bodycam footage and powerful moments of reflection, following a Ukrainian platoon trying to liberate a village. A journalist accompanies them, witnessing the ravages of war and the growing uncertainty about its conclusion.

The film screening is part of the event series that raises awareness of Russia's war in Ukraine.
