Illusion of Safety has been helmed by Daniel Burke since 1983. While it's membership and sonic palette have changed many times, the focus and feeling have remained fairly constant. The project has been reinvigorated in recent years, releasing many new and archival recordings and performing with greater regularity. In this phase of IoS, Burke is unbound by sonic limitations, utilizing any appropriate sound - found or instigated - to provoke feelings of unease and anxiety which are hypnotic in effect.

Drekka has been an integral member of Bloomington's experimental music community for nearly 3 decades. Started in 1996, the project draws on Michael Anderson's personal collection of sonic memories, including sounds from friends and family as well as the spaces through which he travels. Each performance is uniquely mystifying and captivating, involving both preparation and improvisation.
