This month we present a sonically diverse cast of musicians: dystopian audio collage, cinematic ritual ambient, loping/looping psychedelic guitar. Join us for a night of drones and improvisation.DescriptionALL-AGES$10 ADMISSION + FOOD OR DRINK PURCHASE REQUIRED________________________Illusion of Safety has been helmed by Daniel Burke since 1983. While it's membership and sonic palette have changed many times, the focus and feeling have remained fairly constant. The project has been reinvigorated in recent years, releasing many new and archival recordings and performing with greater regularity. In this phase of IoS, Burke is unbound by sonic limitations, utilizing any appropriate sound - found or instigated - to provoke feelings of unease and anxiety which are hypnotic in effect.https://illusionofsafety.net/________________________Drekka has been an integral member of Bloomington's experimental music community for nearly 3 decades. Started in 1996, the project draws on Michael Anderson's personal collection of sonic memories, including sounds from friends and family as well as the spaces through which he travels. Each performance is uniquely mystifying and captivating, involving both preparation and improvisation.https://www.bluesanct.com/bands/drekka/________________________Scotchamo is the experimental project of Scott Scarboro, located in Southerrn Indiana across the Ohio from Louisville. With Scotchamo, Scott uses handmade electronic and circuit-bent devices, stringed instruments, tape loops, and sampled audio to create his sounds. He also runs Junkabilly Studios and it's attached band Monkey Boy.https://junkabillystudios.bandcamp.com/https://www.youtube.com/@junkabilly
