Join us for a fun, 8-week class designed for adults who are new to the ukulele
or looking to build a strong foundation.
No prior musical experience is required. Bring your own ukulele or lend
one from TAF at no cost!
In this class, you'll:
• Learn foundational ukulele skills and basic chords
• Explore beginner-friendly songs and playing techniques
• Learn the basics of music theory
• Build confidence playing the ukulele

Olivia Sutherlin is a multidisciplinary musician with a lifelong background in
the performing arts, including theater, choir, and band.

Swing into the weekend with laidback jazz duos every other Thursday at Poindexter Bar inside the Graduate Hotel in downtown Bloomington. September 10, the Dave Bruker-Paul Kirk duo returns with interpretations of standards and more with Dave on bass and Paul on guitar.

Monroe County Civic Theater presents Cyrano, an adaptation of Edmond Rostand's classic story, by Director Joshua Lehman. Cyrano is a swashbuckling swordsman with the heart of a poet and a very large nose. Christian is a handsome soldier who is a fool around women. Both of them fall hopelessly in love with the beautiful Roxanne and team up to make one hero of love between them, with Christian's looks and Cyrano's words. Can they win her over? What about the impending war in Spain? Find out what sacrifices will be made in the name of love!

Shows are September 3, 4, 10, 11, 12 at 7:30pm and September 4 & 13 at 2:00pm

Jacobs Live at the Movies returns as the IU Philharmonic Orchestra will present Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen in Concert with composer Christophe Beck’s GRAMMY®-nominated score performed live to the film. The concert will be led by conductor Ernest Richardson.

The film and its multi-Platinum soundtrack feature eight songs written by Academy Award®, Emmy®, and GRAMMY®-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, including the Oscar® and GRAMMY®-winning song “Let It Go” performed by Idina Menzel.

Fearless optimist, Princess Anna, sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man, Kristoff, and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. Voices include Kristen Bell (Anna), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Josh Gad (Olaf), Santino Fontana (Hans), Alan Tudyk (Duke of Weselton).
