Songs Of The Season: Spring 2017

As we enter the long-awaited spring, Afterglow salutes the arrival of fairer weather with a few "Songs of the Season." On this program, we'll hear spring songs of all kinds, featuring performances by some cool jazz singers, including  June Christy, Chris Connor, Blossom Dearie, and Mel Tormé. We have several odes to April coming up, and a handful for the month May as well. And although love tends to bloom in spring, we'll hear a few songs about some spring broken hearts.
