Mom Was Right! Connections Between Chicken Soup And Winter Health

Mom was right. When you have a cold, eating chicken soup can be an effective treatment. Research has shown that chicken soup acts as both an anti-inflammatory and a decongestant.

Scientists at the University of Nebraska tested the effectiveness of canned chicken soup versus homemade. While homemade soup may be tastier, they found that either type can help to ease your cold symptoms.
