Indiana women gearing up for March Madness

Noon Edition airs on Fridays at noon on WFIU.

Hoosier basketball fans have had much to celebrate as both the men’s and women’s teams gear up for the March Madness tournaments.

The IU women’s basketball team finished with a 27-3 record and was undefeated at home. The Hoosiers won the Big Ten regular season championship and are ranked third in the nation. Head Coach Teri Moren was named Big Ten Coach of the Year and became the winningest coach in IU women’s basketball history.

The IU men’s basketball team also had a strong season finishing 21-10 and tied for second in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers beat rival Purdue twice, finished 19th overall in the nation, and are led by record-setting all-American Trayce Jackson-Davis. They will start Big Ten tournament play Friday night.

This Friday on Noon Edition, we will talk with guests about both team’s winning seasons, their NCAA tournament chances, and more.
