Sheriff's deputies pronounced a Spencer man dead at the scene, and the other driver, identified as Cindy Bentley of Gosport, was seriously injured and transported by helicopter to Indianapolis for treatment.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office identified the driver as Leroy Terrell of Bedford. It said the county coroner’s office pronounced him dead at the scene.
