In an emailed statement, the sheriff’s office said a motorcycle struck a vehicle that was pulling out of an access road after making a U-turn.

The motorcyclist died after being ejected, it said.

According to the statement, the other driver’s view was partially blocked by high vegetation. That driver wasn’t injured.

Indiana State Police are assisting in the investigation, it said.

The sheriff’s office is also investigating an unrelated accident that left four people critically injured Friday night. That accident happened during Sheid’s Diesel Extravaganza at Wagler Motorsports Park in Lyons.

In a statement, the sheriff’s office said a Jeep being used as a pit vehicle was driven out of the truck pull staging area into the crowd. It struck three people in the crowd, a side-by-side, a truck rake, and another vehicle before rolling onto its side.

The three pedestrians and the driver were transported to the hospital in critical condition, it said. The accident is still under investigation.
