The building of 4,059 square feet of office space in Bloomington’s Trades District Parking Garage will start in late September.

The Energy Sciences Network, a high-speed computer network serving the U.S. Department of Energy, is getting an office in Bloomington’s Trades District.

The Bloomington Redevelopment Commission (RDC) is moving forward with a $1.2 million offer for land in the Trades District planned for a hotel.

The City of Bloomington is walking back the part of an ongoing project seeking to relocate the police headquarters into the western portion of the city hall building.

The City of Bloomington will give a recommendation Monday on four construction bids for the planned space for a future police headquarters.

Because the commission was unable to pass a motion to postpone, there’s no set date for the next vote.

The City’s Redevelopment Commission approved a contract with Renascent, Inc., to demolish 10 buildings on the site.

The City says it must break ground on the project by Oct. 12 under the terms of a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

The project still in its early stages. Several details have yet to be worked out, including where the development will be built.

The board currently consists of nine individuals with expertise in real estate, business, academia and government.
